CC Transfer Chances

Does anyone have any stats on Olin College's age range for students?

I am worried that since Olin makes you start over as a freshman, they may be wary of a CC transfer canidate that:

1) will be 30 at time of application

2) would have a over 120 credits, but not B.A ( I dropped out of UF In 2004)- reason explained in essay

Any thoughts on chances to get in.( not sure if it makes a diffrence but I am looking to major in the system designs program)

3.85/4.0 GPA
750 math
750 CR
700 writing
highest math- differential equations(class after calc3)
highest science- Physics 3 (waves, optics, modern)

Additionally I made a pretty good case in the essay why tranfering to Olin is a pragamtic decision

student gov(president)
volunteer fire fighter
over 8 years work exprience
( I know they value leadership and business exprience/aspirations)

All I know is that today at open house, they said that they do not accept any transfer credits from any place.

So they would evaluate you as any other incoming freshman and you would have to start from scratch.

Have you looked at Empire State College?

Empire State College

If I were in your shoes I would do what I could to get a BS degree from someplace like Empire State that would take all the undergrad credits, then perhaps go to grad school (maybe taking some remedial science if necessary).

I know there is at least one student who has started at Olin with a BA already, and there have been a few that have done a year or more at a school and then started over at Olin. Susgeek is correct--Olin will not take any credits from previous schools, nor do they give students AP credits. I don't think the OP would be immediately "out of the running" in the application process, but I do question whether Olin would be a good fit for him, in many ways.
