BA/BS Math

I'm looking into both of these school to major in Mathematics to accompany my other major which is Computer Science.

UIS:
Mathematical Sciences - University of Illinois at Springfield - UIS

ULAR:
UALR Dept. of Math & Statistics

It looks like UIS has a good reputation for their program but they only offer Bachelor of Arts and not Science. ULAR on the other hand offers both Bachelor of Arts and Science.

Is there really a difference between the two? I talked with one of the UIS Math adviser and he told me that the college didn't find a point to have two degrees for math when the requirement is the same. So decided to use Bachelor of Arts and title the program Mathematical Sciences.

I haven't really talked with the ULAR Math adviser yet, going to look in to it.

Now what I'm curious about, if I were to apply at any technology/industrial company that requires Mathematics, would they care more about the title of the degree or the college reputation? If I were to choose the B.A. program from UIS, would I even qualify for a position that requires Bachelor of Science instead of Arts even when the course curriculum are similar?
