Mechanical Engineer (online)???

Hello!!!

I currently work on the railroad as a diesel mechanic/electrician, i wanted to further my career, i have worked on the railroad for 3+ years fresh out of high school never had a chance to continue school after HS because i had my beautiful children,,, had to provide

but i would like to approach mechanical engineering, sounds like it would be hard for there to be an auctual online course or degree for this field but does anyone know of any accredited colleges offering something along this line???????
