I'm currently an undergraduate at a University of California campus studying biology, and I'm thinking of attending Harvard Extension School to receive an ALM in English. I've been reading posts on here about the Extension School, and some of them have been very biased and negative, and I'm just generally looking for information about the experience - especially people who have taken graduate English courses. How long did it take you to graduate? Which courses/professors are recommended? Are the courses hard/manageable? I just want to get as much information about this program before I decide to do it.

Oh, also - I wanted to know what the living options were for the on-campus time there? I know people mentioned they don't offer housing for Extension students, but are there any on-campus housing options at all?

Don't go to HES if the primary reason you are going there is the Harvard name, because HES doesn't carry the same cache at all.

There are no on campus living options for HES students.
