Anthropology

Anyone? What kind of jobs do people get with this degree?

Its an interesting major.. and quite vague also.

In its basic form, it just describes where we come from and where we go. Fits well with philosophy, psychology, and sociology.

But there are four main subgroups;
- Linguistic anthropology (origin and spread of languages)
- Archaeology
- Physical anthropology (like human geography)
- Social anthropology (religion and sociology, for example)
Think of these as sociology, adding in other variables.

The biggest employers is in marketing. Who are your customers, what do they buy, and why do they purchase them. Anthropologists are not needed very much, but can come in handy when planning something.

Some teach HS Social Science. I've seen others who use it as a stepping stone into a MS in Environmental Science.
