What should I do?

i majored in a liberal arts field and i am about to enter into my second year of teaching. I would like to get a job in PR/Marketing. While I like it, there are so pros and cons for each field

In TEACHING, Pros: time off, free insurance/blue cross/blue shield, dont seem to have to work so hard, like what i teach, job security for 1-2 years, laid back culture and slower pace

Cons: hard to deal with administration, kids do not respect u and threaten u, public does not respect you and what you do. Have to watch every move I make, teachers are not treated like human beings with feelings

I like teaching, and I like the hours, however, I teach at a very bad school district and students are very bad and ghetto, they are also very racist towards other minorities and caucasians. Recently, I was talking to a friend of mine and he told me that the students and their parents sometimes threaten the coaches during football games. Just last year a group of students after a foot ball game robbed and beat up several students AND a pastor..it was horrible.

I am now stuck between a rock and a hard place. I owe ALOT in student loans and I will need to teach another 4 years just to get most of them dismissed. I also have been having back and medical problems. However recently I have been interested in going into corporate communications .I did some research on it and this is what i came up with

Pros: better pay, office environment which I like, creativity, feel like I am making a difference/more valued in society, do not have to deal with disrespectful kids

Cons: dont get nowhere near the same time off, business environment can be very cutthroat, no job security, fast paced, can be fired for little to no reason, longer hours, politics that are different from school politics(which i can avoid)

Sorry this is so long, basically it is an academic job vs. a business one. I have thought about either going back for an online communications degree which is very cheap but the classes are put into 8 week blocks which will make it harder and If i cant pay for whatever reason then I will have to wait a year for the next class to come around. If I graduate though, I can get into marketing, advertising, and PR. OR I can try to go for my master's in English, the classes are twice as much, but as someone told me, once u take 18 hours then you can student teach as well as regular teach and a college and I have heard that a person with an English degree can go into marketing, advertising, and PR but I have heard that it is better to have the communications degree.

If you were in my spot, what would you do?

I always went with the notion of what makes you happy. I know the teaching market isn't as good any more, but is there any way you can teach at a different school? Perhaps one like a college prep school where the kids are there to prepare?
