Best English Programs?

I'm trying to do some college research for a friend of mine, who is a junior this year.

She wants to be an editor as profession, so she's looking for some good English programs, and also, if possible she wants to minor in business, or something like the sort that is practical to go along with it.

Preferably midwest/east coast!

She got a 28 act, in the 1200's (and hopes to improve those by next year). Also, she has a 4.12 weighted gpa, probably 3.9/3.85 unweighted.

If anyone knows any schools that sound like a good fit for her - that would be greatly appreciated! She's kind of lost with all this stuff and I want to help her out!

Or just a list of great english programs, if all of the above is too in-depth! :-p

- Northwestern U sounds like a perfect fit! It has great Journalism school (Medill, but difficult to get into) and English program in general, and is in the Midwest
- University of Virginia also has a great Eng program

Not in the Midwest...
- Columbia University (but hardest Ivy to get into!)
- Princeton
- Brown
- UCLA (hard to get into if from out of state), UCSan Diego (this would be a safety for her probably, but difficult to get into if she's not from California)

I'm planning to be an editor/screenwriter/author of some sort and am looking at Kenyon, a school renowned in its English department. It's located in Ohio, sort of a mixture of the midwest and east coast. Hope this helps!
