What can you do with a history major?

Ok see I am doing pre-med in hope to become a doctor, but just in case I am not accepted into medical school, well I would need a back up.

I LOVE HISTORY. It is my passion, in fact I would put it as my 1st passion and learning about the human body/helping people as my 2nd. However, is there anything I could do with a history major BESIDES teaching? If thats all I could do with history is teaching, do you have other suggestions when it comes to majors that could be good back up plans.

Thank you for your feedback

If you're seeking a backup major that is career oriented and you don't want to teach, history can open up many doors. However, as you can tell by looking at the above links, many of those jobs won't be putting your passion for history to use.

I'm pretty sure George W. Bush majored in History...

While he wasn't a very good president, he still rose to the highest office in the U.S...

History is a great liberal arts major to develop your writing and communication skills. It also allows you to understand current events better. However, history majors do not have 1 set job to pursue after graduation like..accountants do
