First Biology Class at a Community College

Hello, I have been thinking of starting classes in Biology(I want to study Genetics, Genomics, and Eugenics, but they don't have specific things like that), but I am not sure which of the Biology classes would be the best to start with. I am thinking of just taking one or two classes this semester, since I only want to be a part-time student.

Right now, these two choices sound good, but I am not sure which of the two will be easier for someone just starting out...

"Principles of Biology"
Nature and function of living systems using natural selection and physiological survival as unifying theme. Recommended for lab science transfer requirement.
(Not sure what that last sentence means)

"Human Biology"
Survey course that covers the structure and function of the systems that form our human body. Course also explains some common diseases that affect the systems of the body.

Both of these only say they require you to know English.

Also, there is a class for Human Anatomy, but it says it requires one college-level biology course. Does this mean I just need to have taken one of their biology courses to be able to take it?

"Principles of Biology" sounds like the "General Biology" course that all universities have. If you're planning to study biology (or biochemistry, anatomy, environmental science, etc.) you will have to take this course no matter what.

"Human Biology" sounds more like a class that a science major could take as an elective. It could be interesting as well. I'd start with the Principles one, though.

You shouldn't just be taking stabs at it. Go talk to a council and find out what you need for a degree or to transfer. If you just guess you may end up wasting time and money on classes you don't need.
