So by the responses, it appears that the bulk of the funds are going to extremely low to zero EFC. My son's EFC is approx 5600 so I guess we probably won't get anything.

I live in Maryland. I sent application on the first day which was tuesday april 17. They received it on April 20. I have an EFC of 0. Still have not received anything yet.

So I am from a suburb of Chicago. I sent it in on the first day (at the post office too!) and my EFC is 0. Has anyone from the Chicago/Midwest area received anything yet?

Apparently I wasn't looking hard enough because I just went through mail from a few days ago and discovered my notification letter. I'm a Houston area resident with an EFC of about 800. I received a $3950 grant!

It looks as if they may have sent the Texas grants out first since a lot of memebers have stated that they received their grants already who live in Texas.

The letter came in a regular white envelope. In the top corner it read something like "Scholarship Management Services."

So I applied and I'm from TX...i'm guessing that i didn't receive the grant since everybody else got their award letter already :/

Nope JESSMO. I live in MD and no news. I believe that they may have sent out the Texas letters first since it is mostly a texas program.

From San Antonio...we have not heard anything, but then again, my son had an EFC of over 5000.
