No...in the southwest...hey, we can race to see who gets their's first. My son is just ready to know...probably the only notice that might come this week and a top choice of his...so he is anxious to know something.

Happy faces here too -- my D ("thoroughlymodern" on the drama thread) is still in the running at Otterbein. The letter from the drama dept arrived today (March 6), as well as a scholarship offer from admissions -- both envelopes postmarked March 1.

Beachmom- The race is on. Let's hope both our children are still in the running! Waiting for these letters is torture. A big stinger hit yesterday. My D got rejected from Shenendoah which she was really hoping for and was the 1st choice. We only have two letters still waiting and Otterbein is one of them.

Oh gosh, I'm so sorry operagirl. Fingers crossed for good news from Otterbein AND the other school. She needs something to take her mind off Shenendoah. My son is waiting to hear from all 5 schools he auditioned for at Chicago Unifieds. Unfortunately, none of them will notify until later in the month and I think that is why he got excited to find out Otterbein would send out letters now (of course not acceptances, but let's hope they are both still "being considered"). I think he just wants SOME news

Hey BrownEyesMom...hooray for your daughter. We have a bit of a dilemma with Otterbein because they gave my son a Presidential Scholarship (I figure many of your kids got the same thing), back in the fall when the school accepted him academically, and they sent an invitation for the dinner they are doing on April 3 for those students. I keep waiting to know something because we would love to go do our visit there then IF he gets into the theatre program...and we could include the award dinner. Obviously, if he doesn't get into theatre then we won't be visiting...I know EVERYONE on here is in the same boat with this school or others...thanks for letting me vent! I just keep seeing those last minute airfares flashing before my eyes

Congrats to everyone who is still being considered for Otterbein and best of luck to beachmom24's S and operalgirl D (and anyone else still waiting). Right now I'm hoping my D's plane gets to take off to get her to Minnesota! A March blizzard in Ohio - yay for added stress! Just what we needed. (I would like to add a smiley face here but I'm technologically challenged!)

Just do the colon sign and then the right parenthesis sign and you will get a smiley! Fingers crossed that your daughter gets to Minnesota AND has a great callback there. How exciting!

Okay, operagirl...the letter got to us today. Of course, can't open because he wants to and is at school. At least it made it here.

My D received her "release" letter today. How do you make a sad face? This was not a suprise, as she describes her Otterbein audition as one where she "was just not in the room".
Hang in there everyone! Everyone will make a great experience out of where ever they end up!!

Congrats on winning the letter race beachmom You are a very good and patient parent. I couldn't help it with the CCM letter, I had to read it to the lightbulb. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you! And yes smileys are fun

But sad ones are not
