I dont think a school would ever turn down a student who was above average. Your daughter will most likely be considred for more aide including the Honors College. Not to pat myself on the back either here but I had above average stats and am a Directing/Stage Management major...And here I am haha
Like SeaShells said, many of our MT majors are in the Honors Program and also, on the Dean's List so no worries! If anybody wants any info in the Honors College..let me know
About Directing tracks, they are hard to come by. What is harder still, is to make a successful director come out of the program. Pace's program is the kind of program where you pave your own way; they dont just hand out all fo the assets to just anyone here, you have to extract the goods and take advantage yourself. At one of the auditions in March, some kid said he was really interested in fight choregraphy and he asked if we had any classes or tracks for that. We dont. We dont have specfic classes or a program dedicated to it but if thats what he wants to do he can make it for himself. In almost every show we have done this year there has been some sort of fight whether serious or for humor that he could have choreographed and gotten credit for.
Its the same for a director here, even though we have the concentration. Just because you are a directing major, doesnt mean you automatically get to direct a show. With the directing class, you get to direct one-acts for the Directing Festival, but approval for the 4 student big student productions slots per year is a little more complicated and selective and therefore merit comes into play bigtime. For example, myself

I am a freshman. I worked my butt off this year and became only the second freshman to get approved to direct a show next year.
Basically if a student wants it bad enough and works hard enough, they'll get so much more out of this program.
