seems like the UC's receive the a lot of applications, rather huge. Most probably cos California has the most people in terms of state or there are other reasons?

How many here are planning on a gap year. My friend thinks its a good idea, you improve your application and apply with better SATs etc.
Any opinions...

Aight so,
i'm an as level student in roots and appearing in this may/june session. I'm really expecting 4 A's.
As far as my ECs are concerned, well i'm in the basketball team, was the head.delegate in about 3 MUNs, 2 internships at wwf, was the general secretary in the roots-mun, did some communitywork.
Do you think all this is enough to land me a scholarship if my sat score is really high too? I'll be starting for my SAT exam after my As exams, probably during the summer.

Greeting from the Indian Thread.
Guys, do you have a result thread for the class of 2016 somewhere here on PakThread?
I wanted to get some general idea about the no. of students who got into ivys and other top institutes? And their stats? Any accepted '16ers still coming online on CC from PakThread?
Thanks |

@crimsonfire Which city will you be applying from?
I have gotten my I20, and applied for the visa.
Don't stress out too much, they're generally quite nice.

@perazziman
most probably stony brook,because it cheaper and as of yet i haven't received any financial aid nor it looks like i will.
@blueloveXD
Karachi..well i am a bit worried because to be frank,my application doesn't look that strong.My school is relatively unknown(infact it doesn't even have counselor,i did all the processing myself),my SAT score was just above average and i don't have any co-cirricular activities to speak of..anyways,how long did it took you to apply for an interview after you got your I-20 ? i am talking about all the processing related to sevis and things
