Tanzyn. As a fellows 16er told me- it's better to apply and see your luck rather than not apply at all!
The process is surely nerver wrecking. I am almost in the Same boat. I don't have nything much of peculiar or good or outstanding :/

^It is true. Quoting MIT: the only way you can be sure to not get in is to not apply at all ^^

But still, be cautious. The apps process can be really costly.

Hey thanks for your replies rew2402 and bluelovexD, appreciate it
I guess a more specific question would be; Do or have US college given large amounts of FinAid to international students with 'not so outstanding grades' ?

@tanzyn no they havent. People with as much as 2200 SAT score ended up in LUMS. Do not waste your money. Apply within asia if you have to. Not saying that you wont get in at all, but the chances are very low.

Hi I'm pretty much late to join.
But I'd like some advise. I've been accepted to the University of Toronto with no scholarship. The tuition fee is an estimate of CAD $ 34000 per year.
This is pretty expensive for me.I might be able to pay for the first year but not the years to come.
Now my question is can students get scholarships once in the University? IF yes then do you have any idea that to what extent can one get scholarships. What kind of work study opportunities can I get? Any other means of aid?
I'd really appreciate some help. I really want to go but its all about the financial problem. Thanks

Just signed into cc after a long time and realized that I have received a whole bunch of private messages congratulating me on my acceptance to Duke University. I DIDN'T EVEN APPLY TO DUKE! I applied to 5 LACs and 2 IVYs, I got accepted to 2 schools: Grinnell and Macalester... NO DUKE UNIVERSITY! LOLZ! Just thought I'd clarify that over here.

@crimson: glad to hear that! That's awesome! When does your college start?
As for your other question, I just took the entire file to Aku and picked a random available physician...
