Well in the longer run...Aitchisonians have gone pretty much to every Ivy League and the top schools in the US so Yale is nothing special

Hi Guys
Well I need bit of ur help in deciding univz.Following is the list of colgz from which I ll apply into 4 or 5 of them.Can u plz help in deciding the final list and any other College which u ll recommend.

Dartmouth
Amherst
Berea C
Colby C
Dickinson
Oberlin
Lafayette
Richmond....

I know most of them are great collegz and I v vry little chance of getting in so I have kept my hopes low.....My stats are SAT1 2010....SAT 2 will b b/w 2300-2400....8 Az at O levelz with couple of distinctions.Transcripts mostly Az.Good recomendations and Predicted 4As and an A* and the usual EC's......

n I just kinda think that applicants to dartmouth have increased considerably this year. I dont know why but whoever I talk to is applying to Dartmouth.So much for me getting in.

Samtjt, I would suggest that you go for two reaches, two mid-levels, and one safety school. Other than that, it all depends on your academic interests, so do tons of research before you make your decision.

To every one else, this year LAS is going to have the BEST acceptances ever.

Well considering that LAS bombed last year I'm pretty sure It will happen again but we'll see

I have a friend in LAS who is applying this year too and he said the counselor isn't really good. This year LGS and Aitchison will be at the top...as usual

And a perfect SAT does not guarantee admission into Harvard...there's more to it than that

The counselor is just fine. LGS and Aitchison cheat their way to the top by kicking out even slightly underachieving students. You can't just kick people out of a school and deprive them of an education. Education is a right, not a privelage. If LAS were to kick out all students with a GPA of below 3.5, we'd have the best damn senior class in the country.

But that's just my opinion. It's also the right one.

Also, a perfect SAT doesn't guarantee anything, but it definitely helps...
