^ It was a joke!!
Attending Harvard, I presume? Congrats! I see that you've already adopted the infamous 'superior than thou' attitude of most undergraduates there. |

After a lot of research, I've seen that the High School you go to is a very important factor in deciding your admission to the ivies.

I don't think so. I'm the only person to be admitted to a good school in more than a decade at my school.
My results-
Accepted: Columbia, Stanford, Duke, Dartmouth, Brown
Wait-listed: MIT
Rejected: Harvard, Princeton
The very best school a person from my school, besides me, has EVER gotten into is Rutgers - The State University of New Jersey. Our SAT average is 1030/2400, and only 40% end up at a university. If you're good enough (I was runner-up in an International Olympiad after which colleges themselves contacted me requesting me to apply), you will get in to your desired school no matter which school you're from.

Nu joyze. Sorry, always wanted to say that to a NJ guy. But the school you go to in Pakistan makes an enormous difference. Schools in the US do things more or less the same way. All schools have an obligation to help their students get into the best possible school.
Not here. Just look how many people from Roots, with much lower stats than most of us here, are going to top20 universities, as compared to say, Headstart or even ICAS or whatever the hell.
Schools like roots may do whatever it takes to send their star students to top collges and I don't think even Roots students will protest this fact.

Second Gtfotu's remark.
Of course, you can make it big from a lesser-known-school as wel but ... from an international's perspective, the high school one attends makes a helluva difference in college admissions.

You got in because your credentials were much higher than the others in your class. School name makes a huge difference. Why does KGS/Aitchison/Roots send more kids to the ivies than other schools kids who have the same stats? Even in the US. St. Alabn's school, Phillips Academy, etc. All these are ivy feeders, whereas at other schools where childern have the same/higher stats have far few acceptances. Al Gore [former VP of the US] was 25 out of 51 in his class at St. Alabans and he only applied to Harvard and got admitted. I mean, 25 out of 51 is a realllllyyy low number. School name matters a LOT.

p32 was okay. not that great.
the last part of the last question was pretty messed up. got the x coordinate as 1.
what did you guys get?
the parametric question was pretty good.
Someone tell me, if you do a minute error on the partial fractions and get it wrong. Binomial bhi ghalat hojayega kya? =/ or does error carried forward apply here?
