What was President Obama's SAT score?

printlnprintln Posts: 167Registered User Junior Member
I guess we have all discovered the intelligence of our current president and all from his accomplishments, but what was his SAT score and what does it equate to on the current 2400 scale?

Thanks (I look forward to a lively discussion!)

I would be surprised if this information was available seeing as how Obama has gone to great pains to "maintain privacy" re his college grades, how as a self described average student he manged to "transfer" from Occidental to Colombia, how nothing he ever wrote as editor of the Law Review has been discovered, etc, etc.

He was editor, and not expected to write for the Law Review. He did, however, write a summary piece as a second-year student, before he became President of the Law Review.

See here: Exclusive: Obama's lost law review article - Ben Smith and Jeffrey Ressner - Politico.com

C'BadDad, "Colombia" is the country, not the university.

I would guess over 1400 including CR and M only. He seems like a really smart guy.

what accomplishments besides being elected are you referring to?

Don't be a troll. Being President is the definition of success.

Accomplishments: numerous political elections, Harvard Law, passed legislation. Oh, and he's your President.

Obama would be foolish to release his SATs. If they're high, his critics would call him a pointy-headed elitist. If they're low, they'd say he was an affirmative action beneficiary. I suspect they were juuuuust right.

I don't know, but I've seen a list of famous people and their sat scores...

Bill Cosby's was pathetic, needless to say.
Bill gates' was a perfect 1600 if I recall correctly

Hopefully I find that list again.

    Meredith Vieira: 1300s

    George W. Bush: 1206
43rd President of the United States

Have SAT scores ever ended with anything but 0? Also, I am skeptical that Al Franken's SAT was 1020, since he went to Harvard and graduated cum laude. His dad was a Jewish printing salesman living in Minnesota. Maybe Al was recruited for wrestling.

Only politicians and TV personalities have scores ending in non-zero numbers. See list above. LOL

Yes they have. For people who graduated from high school before the early 1970s, there was a third digit (the ones digit) that varied from one person to the next. Current practice of rounding scores to the nearest ten better acknowledges the error band around each score.

After edit: unless a list links out to journalist, verifiable sources, I wouldn't believe any list of SAT scores of famous people. It could just be made up.

Bill O'Reilly doing better than Al Gore or Bill Clinton? No way.

Are these all on the same system?

Just because a person is an insufferable jerk doesn't mean that he isn't smart.
