I've been out too - outdoor movie night in the neighborhood. Saw a really cute movie - "Hotel for Dogs." I see the topic once again turned to food here.

Well, at least we can all agree on food and beverages as being a safe topic, correct?

Agreed, lgm.
We had a nutella with toasted marshmallows milkshake, and DS had a kobe steak hamburger. Expensive, but delish!

What is it with nutella, anyway? Sounds yummy.

I read that if you google nutella, and google chocolate, that the first one comes up more on the internet. (Somehow that doesn't seem possible.)

Yes - very safe and it's on my mind since I haven't made a dish for the neighborhood 4th of July picnic. I am feeling quite insecure after listening to the great stuff others are making. I may need to track down some chicken ravioli.

Hmm, this was definitely a "take out the trash" announcement, as they say in the White House. Announced on a Friday that is a holiday for most of the country, part of a long weekend. It isn't like this is going to be buried in the news cycle and people won't notice, though. Mark Sanford probably welcomes it, though

Nate Silver had a very interesting post analyzing why many people don't like Sarah Palin earlier today (before her announcement).

FiveThirtyEight: Politics Done Right: Why (Some) Liberals Hate Sarah Palin

Spot on for me.

Seems to be true, but only in Italy:
Google Trends: nutella, chocolate

They both look great lgm - thanks. I was thinking of doing potato salad. My neighbor is making a Calico Bean Salad - that was a new one to me.

cucumber salad is easy and really good-- especially made with some red wine vinegar and vidalia onions.

This was so funny. Really? Liberals believe in meritocracy more than conservatives? On what planet?
