Pelosi: "From our perspective, we won last night"

Is she on crack?

Her perspective is twisted.

That was really strange, with her huge smile and giggling. I don't think it's crack, that's probably too low class for her but I'm suspecting some sort of prescription drug maybe? Or insanity? Or maybe she is just amusing herself?

Maybe she cares about the House? You know, where the Democrats won in both races...

1. Pelosi is wack (not that this sets her apart from most on the Hill)

2. lockn makes a 100% valid point.

Maybe she can get her head examined. I hear that Senators get some pretty cushy perks, like cadillac health plans and doctors that make house calls.

We could probably get a fairly definitive answer, in short order.

Hmm, I'm wondering if they're going to have to pay extra taxes on those cadillac plans. Or no doubt, their plans will be exempt.

Spin baby spin......I am guessing that the Dems are concerned about NY23. Yes they won, but a no name, last minute Independent got 40 some % of the votes. That SHOULD concern them.

Not confirmed, but I read somewhere they had to "re adjust" the penalties for the Cadillac plans because most of the unions have them.

The Dems should be concerned that they won a district that has been Republican for over 100 years?

Pelosi should pay attention to the margins, if nothing else.

I do not believe the Gov. race in NJ is any indication of any potential turnover in NJ congressional races. The potential for a dem. (Adler) to lose is there but a R had held that seat for years prior to Adler winning a close race in 08.

I believe the Dems should be concerned that they won a district where their candidate was way more conservative that the Repub. Pelosi winning one more Blue Dog who dislikes her plan is probably why she has that brittle grin.

Percentage wise:
in VA = R wins by .175% of the vote
in NJ = R wins by .046% of the vote
in NY = D wins by .054% of the vote
in CA = D wins by .08% of the vote

Doesn't seem like such a big difference now.

Anyone see Jon Stewart (The Daily Show) on election night? He was spot-on about the ridiculous nature of the spinning surrounding this fairly insignificant election. I laughed out loud. Wish I could master the hyperlink, but invite you to watch it on commedycentral.com.
