So I guess I should acknowledge that the Dow hit 13,000 before 12,000.

I didn't trade much for myself last week. But I am short the Jul 26 intc calls that expire today. Stock closed 26.

Who would have thought working for Walgreen's would be so popular?

That FB implied option volatility crashed.

I had a couple of orders in some FB option series, but I wasn't filled, so screw it.

Yes the implied volatility declined in FB but so did the price. As I mentioned, I sold 8/3 20 puts for .15.

Ellemenope, .

I slept zero hours last night and today.
I am not an investment banker, but I was working on trying to salvage a deal that I am involved in and where I am going to lose.
I am not even a big player in this deal.
It is really frustrating to agree on something and find out the info you relied on
wasn't...well reliable.
The other side can't deliver.
I end up agreeing on items, and I can't deliver because what I am told is not really a fact, but a concept.
It is bugging me.

I was so busy on this deal todayI took my eyes off the trading screens, only to find that I
was buried. Did the guy from the ECB say something today?

Yes, doct,
I saw that.

I think those puts will expire worthless.

Yes - something about they will do everything to save the euro - of course words don't mean much. Well in the words of Keynes: "The market can stay irrational longer than you can remain solvent."

Well...the words meant thousands of losses to my trades.

That's ok. It is mostly other people's money.

It was embarassing when a trader called me up and said, how did you do with the ECB announcement?

"Uhhhhhh....what.......what announcement?" lol

I get an email from CBS Marketwatch very early in the morning with all of the important stuff that happened in Asia and Europe and what the US looks like. Of course I still have to read it.

iPod Touch is very handy for reading email when you wake up.

If Dragi is able to save the euro, i am buying the 1st round for everyone on this thread...there is no way out without serious pain inflicted to those countries who have ran their economies into the ground....and, unfortunately, we are headed to a similar fate...we are pushing the problems down to the next generation, and the gap between the haves, and have nots will widen
