| What "everyday stuff" do you buy from Amazon?
I heard a report on NPR the other day about a family that buys a lot of their everyday stuff on line. I thought of that report last night as I was trying to figure out when in the next very-busy few days I was going to find time to stop by Wal-Mart and buy soap (we use a kind of facial soap that is most reliably found at Wal-Mart; otherwise I usually don't shop there).
I checked on Amazon and for almost exactly the same price I can have the soap delivered to my front door by Wednesday.
Is this the way of shopping of the furture?

| Sure, it's easy and takes a lot of hassle out of it. In fact, it may be better because then there's less impulse shopping done in the checkout lane!
I buy my razor blades off of Amazon. It is set up to place an order every six months and I save $3-4 each time... Even then I don't use them fast enough to keep up with what gets ordered, but I have a little stash building up..

I buy our K-cups from Amazon. I search carefully, so that I can get the best price with Amazon Prime.
I also get iPad and other computer assessories...especially styluses.

Dog treats!! The treats my dogs eat are 30% cheaper on Amazon, no tax and no shipping as I use my son's Prime account. Most electronic accessories come from Amazon.
My mother orders her tea bags as she can get a larger quantity much cheaper. A friend of mine orders her dental floss online as she can not find it locally. My son in on the auto program for his chocolate peanut butter
I do check Amazon first when ordering something or want a larger quantity of an item.

Hair Conditioner. The idiots who make my favorite shampoo & conditioner stopped selling the conditioner to most any store in my area a few months ago so now I pay more to mail order 3-packs of conditioner from Amazon.

K-cups, yes!
About two years ago, I signed up for large boxes of Donut shop K cups through subscribe and save at Amazon. Free shipping and 15% off! AND I can adjust the frequency of shipping whenever I want more or less.
Also, hair conditioner in 3 pack, Neutrogena Triple Moisture. Difficult and expensive to find locally.

I have ordered some of the craziest way-out-there stuff. Just totally random. We use son's student account so have free Prime for a year. Son bought his high end stethscope for med school on Amazon, cheaper than the bookstore, K-cups, eco cups, cds (crazy markdown to $.70 each), baby clothes, children's books, textbooks, packaged side dishes, cell phone cover $1.29, toys (dirt cheap), dishes, halloween candy, winter coats, columbia cords, DC jeans.......you name it, at some time in the last 5 years of Prime...we have bought it.
And it has been usually pennies on the dollar. If that. Just rando.

I have Amazon Prime and buy at least once a month a case of Arnold Palmer Ice Tea for my S at college. I also have snacks, detergent, and toiletries delivered to him. I just bought a CD for me and regularly buy my moisturizer because it is hard to find localy. When I ordered detergent for S I started thinking I might also want to do that for my own use at home. I have found cost for many items comprable to what I pay in the supermarket. I just have to get into that habit. We don't buy books as much since we are a 3 Kindle family, but S likes real books and I will occasionally indulge him. I have gotten some really great prices in the warehouse deal section. I recently got S 2 cases of the AP for 30% off. The cases were mashed in but product undamaged. I loved the fact that when I went to order a case at full price Amazon to me I could also get if cheaper. Other stuff I have bought included hard to find colored shoe laces my daughter had to have and were no where to be found at local stores.

Holy cow. I buy numerous things on Drugstore.com. I just compared Amazon's prices to what I pay on Drugstore.com, and there are several things on Amazon that are remarkably cheaper. I'm sold.

My husband comparison shops a lot of things on Amazon. He buys computer accessories and software, certain lightbulbs, a certain candy, books, just to name a few things he buys sometimes from Amazon.
