If they are out at the regular stores, try sporting goods stores. Hockey season is starting again soon, and all the players get them

S has one from LL Bean. It's been through multiple moves, and also traveled across southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. It is still in excellent condition. I'd buy another one of these in a heartbeat. The size he has cost around $100 and worth every penny.

be careful about size, however, since airlines have linear restrictions (length + width + height). If you exceed the size limitation (typically 62 inches for domestic flights), you might be required to pay additional to check your bag.

I just bought this one for my daughter: http://www.ebags.com/ebags/mother_lo...?modelid=54633
But the larger 29" one looks good too. As bluebayou said, you have to very careful with a large bag. Although both the 25" and the 29" bags meet the size restrictions, it's easy to pack the big one so that it is over the 50 lb. maximum.

We also have bought bags from ebags in the past. S has found that weight limit is always a problem for him. This summer we replaced one of his rolling duffels with a big canvas army-navy bag from a military supplier. This bag has straps so it can be carried on his back.
He shleps all his bags from Logan on the T to BU, changing lines once. I would love a picture of this.
