It has happened again-our credit card #'s have been stolen, the third time in 3 years. Fortunately, our credit card company (Mastercard) is on top of it, and calls as soon as they suspect something. It is frustrating as well as scary! Who is retrieving our numbers to purchase items online? Husband thinks it can only be people who physically are in possession of our card (wait-staff at restaurants, etc.). Once again, our account is closed and new cards are issued. What is concerning is who really pays for all of these fraudulent charges? I know that it must be passed on to us as the consumers. Any thoughts? Has anyone had this happen so frequently(or is this frequent)? Any thoughts please?? Are other credit cards not as easy targets-AmEX, Discover??
