2VU, Connie Britton is in three or four episodes that season, and her character's name is also Connie. She has done lots of tv, appearing in several episodes of many different series - Ellen, 24, Spin City, The Fighting Fitzgeralds, in addition to WW, all long before FNL. She's one of the many theatre-trained actors who have appeared in WW.

Ellen, if you are a fan of CJ, you might enjoy seeing the Broadway production slated for late 2008/early 2009. Allison is returning to Broadway and is in NYC now in rehearsals.

Yea so many former West Wing actors and actresses have their own (successful) shows now. Mary Louise Parker went on to do Weeds, which is ridiculously successful. Dule Hill has a show on USA that's been on for a while, so it has to be at least decent, and Mary McCormick just got her own show on USA too. Allison Janney has done so many awesome things after TWW, its almost ridiculous... Finding Nemo (technically during TWW), Over the Hedge, Broadway, Juno.

I kind of wished Bradley Whitford and Aaron Sorkin's show had worked out in the end, but I watched it and it really wasn't that good...

Oh, boo...my family and I did watch Studio 60 and, unlike the rest of the known world, we loved it and were very, very sad to see its demise...

I'm so glad to hear someone else say they enjoyed Studio 60. I also own that DVD set. S has both seasons of Sports Night and also owns the complete series of TWW. We are definitely big fans of Aaron Sorkin.

We are also big Sorkin fans in this house -- especially my son. I turned him on to Sports Night after he discovered West Wing -- knowing I loved the show, a friend had bought me the "complete series" all 2 seasons -- on DVD. He took them, and I've never seen them again! We both enjoyed Studio 60, and wished it had been given a chance to find its ground. I knew that no matter what, his freshman year at school, he'd call me on Monday nights at 11:00 so we could disect and critique together -- just as we had WW for all those years.

In the "too bad most people missed it category"... we saw The Farnsworth Invention on Broadway this fall.... S was coming home for a doctor's appt., one weekend, so I bought tix for the Saturday matinee before he made a flight back...It was PHENOMONAL. Being a student of television, he loved the historical aspect. Being a Sorkin fan, he loved the writing, the pacing, and the many, many references from Sports Night & West Wing ("I Make Glass Tubes")? The acting was superb (Hank Azarria -- how could you go wrong?) and the staging was by the director of Jersey Boys, and very similiar in both look & style. Unfortunately, there really wasn't an audience for it. As S said, when he looked around the theater "most of the people here are watching this show and saying 'remember when'. Clearly we were the youngest people in the audience. OK, maybe not me, but definitely him, and I was a very close 2nd! It had a very successful run in LA at the LaJolla Playhouse -- I guess NYC theatergoers are just tough to please.

But if it ever comes around in your neighborhoods.... run to see it. We recommended it to many friends ... everyone loved it!
