Please Don't Post Links to You Tube or Private Blogs

Sorry, but due to the time it would take for moderators to check those links for appropriateness, CC doesn't allow such links.

Seriously? Youtube? That's a joke - there is basically nothing on Youtube that is more than slightly inappropriate, given the fairly strong review process there.

How about we trust people here to be adults and let them figure out whether or not what they're about to link to is appropriate themselves, instead of making the assumption you guys appear to have made that every link posted to Youtube or a private blog must be checked because it's bound to be inappropriate?

I have yet to come across an inappropriate YouTube link on this forum, but, oh well, CC is a private entity, and the rules are the rules. Thanks for for all the effort in keeping it civil and clean. The best feature (if you asked me) is the "report problem post" button. It is so nice to see the spam and profanities wiped out quickly!

What if you just increased the # of moderators (plenty of volunteers for that position) and/or require youtube or private blog links to be "pending approval" before they're seen by everyone else?

But really, I've /never/ encountered inappropriate youtube links in my time here

It's fine to let people know how they can Google to find a particular blog or YouTube video. Closing this because our terms of service requests that comments about moderation not be made publicly.
