support the soldiers

Again so with a war I don't agree with- but against the war not the troops.

I make cookies and periodically send them off- but now I am going to include bacon salt ( not in the cookies)

Special salt from Seattle cures soldiers' craving for bacon

please share other ways we can support the troops.

A local organization I joined when we moved has a group that sends periodic shipments to our assigned platoon. It's through Adopt A Platoon -- here's the link: http://www.adoptaplatoon.org/. We try to send stuff about every 4-6 weeks, often using a holiday as a theme.

Let's not have a repeat of how so many who fought in Viet Nam were treated! You're right, ek -- take issue w/ the war itself, but don't take it out on those who are fighting it.

Thanks EK!

My nephew is in Iraq and there isn't a day when I don't think of this sincere young man doing what he thinks is best for his country.
