| epiphany, there was a member of the National Press Club on Abram's Report yesterday and she said the COMMITTEE (which is made up of those supporting Hillary and Obama) decided to extend the invitation to Rev. Wright.
If she was the main driving force behind the invitation, it would have been all over the news.
Obama has had a free ride until now. I have been so disgusted with the media. I don't trust them on anything. |

| "Personally, I'm a blue dog/yellow dog Democrat, and don't see any likelihood of changing. My guy was Edwards, but I'll vote for Clinton, Obama, Gore, Richardson, or anyone else who won't dig us any deeper into the Reagan/Bush/Bush hole were sinking in."
AMEN! |

| Thanks for the DNC rules, tega. I misunderstood IDad's to mean that HRC should be awarded 50% of the delegates apportioned by the primary while awarding 50% of "undecided"'s votes to Obama, which of course would disenfranchise those, like me, who were told and believed their votes would not count; the rule goes only to how many delegates should be awarded, not to whom.
I have to (grudgingly )agree that all the rules must be adhered to and, if in fact Obama did violate the campaigning rules in FL he cannot be awarded any delegates. I'd be interested to hear an Obama argument for his getting them though. |

| I don't agree with that. I think Obama should get ALL of the delegates he earned in Florida. |

I will be disappointed if she gets the nomination, but I will support the Democratic nominee & not re-register for 100 more years in Iraq.
| Vote for whomever you want to.
I'm done with the Democratic party, period. Regardless of who wins the nomination. I've seen enough to know that there is nothing in the party that speaks for my views.
I mean, seriously. I'm supposed to be a Democrat so I can vote again for John Kerry? Or Michael Dukakis, Jr. for President? |

| interesteddad--no offense intended, but it sounds like you've been done with the Democratic party for awhile now. I agree with you that it's been an inept group of people running the show there, with a penchant for finding ways for the party to self-destruct. What are your thoughts on McCain as president? I think he's a far better option than what we currently have, but, on the other hand, I fear his stand on Iraq and worry that he'll continue to stack the Supreme Court to the right. |

| Can't stand him. But, at least he has the major league experience for the job. I'm not voting for the least experienced Presidential candidate in a 100 years. Sorry. |

| Simple. Everyone who got in their car, drove to a polling place, and cast a ballot (or mailed in an absentee ballot) should have their vote counted. It's the democratic way.
Iowa and New Hampshire had their early contests and bilked every last dime out of the candidates and the news media and then some. They aren't complaining. The people of Michigan and Florida voted. Count their votes. Simple as that.
Silly me, I thought the Democratic Party would be in favor of democracy, but the chairman's office assures me that's not true when I call. |

| I'll have to disagree with you on this one, interesteddad. I'd rather have the "least experienced" candidate in 100 years than someone who will dedicate himself to war in Iraq for the next century and stockpile right-wing idealogues onto the Supreme Court. We simply can't afford any more Bush-like presidencies. I think McCain's a decent man, but his politics are downright scary. I'd rather take a chance with someone less "experienced." |

| I'Dad,
JFK was also not very experienced, but, like Obama, he wasn't running on experience. His effect was to get an entire generation activated to participate & to light some fires of awareness. That legacy of activism endured beyond his short-lived presidency.
I'll take that, over bad, misdirected experience. |

| The hell he wasn't. JFK had served in WWII. He had been elected three times to the US House of Representatives, where he served for six years. And, he had been elected twice to the US Senate and was a sitting two-term US Senator when he ran for President.
To compare Obama's national experience to Kennedy's is a joke. He doesn't have any. |

| I find Obama's foreign policy inexperience and naivete to be the most frightening thing I've seen in presidential candidate in my lifetime. We are at war. |

| What kind of national experience did GW Bush have? Or Bill Clinton? Or Ronald Reagan? Or any number of presidents we've had throughout history--good, bad, or otherwise? |
