Exactly, marite. I have one kid; he's 14. At this point, I'm interested in college prep, the college app process and financing a college education.

I have to say that I was extremely offended by this comment:

Quote:
(ducking and covering for the inevitable attacks on the military and those who choose to serve.)

Well, she was right that she'd have to duck and cover, wasn't she?

When she started singling me out for attacks she was- did you see just a few titles of the threads that I have started in the past? #70

If I am going to be attacked for my comments- do me the courtesy of keeping them in context .

I still haven't seen where those who chose to serve were attacked.

True, I've seen more attacks from liberals on those who chose not to serve, like Cheney.

Owlice, I hope you're not directing that epithet at Cheney. Remember, he shoots people he LIKES.

Hunt, that's what the current governor of California (and other conservatives) called Kerry, who served in the Vietnam War, when Kerry was running for President.

According to the Wikipedia entry on "girlie men" (isn't Wikipedia amazing?), Schwarzennegger used the term to describe Democratic candidates in general, and a Democratic "insider" used it specifically with regard to Kerry. I see little danger of either Obama or McCain being named girlie men in the upcoming election. For what it's worth, Hillary Clinton isn't very girlie, either.

I guess I did, unless you are just pointing out that conservatives insulted people, like Kerry, who did choose to serve. Of course, Kerry was also photographed windsurfing.

Hunt...relax owlice was cracking a joke in reference to the post that preceded hers.

BTW Your quip was funny too. re Cheney shooting his hunting buddy.

I don't know...I have to find out if my manhood is being questioned. If so, I'll have to go spend some time drumming in my sweat lodge until I feel better.
