| filtering gibberish in checklist (etc) threads
Hi
does anyone know how to filter the unwanted computer gibberish that is entangled in the links to shopping, bedding, checklist threads? Whenever I click on a link to any of these potentially useful threads, they are surrounded with stuff that mekes them difficult to read. There is useful text in there, but there is 5 times that amount in gibberish.

| We got it from UMN too. Seems pricey and boring. Please, anyone have thoughts on them? Maybe we should start a list of links to good current sources for this stuff and just keep cutting and pasting? | |

| We're discussing the same thing on "Companions for the Vigil," so here's what I posted there a few minutes ago.
"I think that most college beds are XL twins these days, although there are a few exceptions. There are XL sheets/comforters/mattress covers at JCPenney, Macy's, BedBath&Beyond, LinensNThings and lots more places. When checking out the online sites, when you get to bedding, do a search for XL or XL sheets.
I found beautiful sheets on deep discount at Macy's for my D 3 years ago. I almost never shop at Macy's -- too expensive for me -- but these sheets were a great deal.
Got the XLs for my S from JCPenney online a couple of weeks ago - solids, stripes and prints to choose from. They are on sale now and will be for a bit longer." | |

| Tonight at the dinner table, I suggested to my S the idea that he and his room mate, whomever that might be, might want to coordinate the color of their bedding. He looked at me as if I were insane. Which is what I expected. <G>
My H said, "Why not white? It can be bleached." Showing how little he knows about S. The likelihood that he would purchase and use bleach on his sheets is definitely nil.
My S said that "any color" would be fine. I said, "Great, so I'll look for pink flowers?" S said sure, but I think he was being less than honest.  | |

| S2 going OOS. Most of you probably know by now, you can do "Pack and Hold" at BB with excellent customer service. Basically you register at the registry counter at your local store. Give them your name, University address, approximate pick up date. The stores checks and find the closest BB to the University. Then they give you the scanner for any items you wish to purchase. You scan any item you want. When you complete shopping, return the scanner, they print out your list. They double check for error and make suggestion. Immediately the order is release to the new store and instantly a reply confirms your order and any missing items will be ship from your local store without charge. You only pay the items when you pick it up later. You can delete items during pick up. You can also do multiple "Pack and Hold" order. All stores accept expired coupon. It is great for bulky item since many airline started to charge luggage. Happy Shopping. ((: | |
