electric razor

Son leaves tomorrow am. He tells me he needs an electric razor. He has been using and old one of his Dad's.
Of course he just started packing at 3:45 this afternoon and I don't quite know if we have time to go find a store nearby to buy a razor.
Any suggestions?

That is what my husband has but his is an expensive one. How much do I have to spend to get something decent?
Also I have limited shopping options. Not much available in town plus just a few hours till the stores close.
Stores in town- Sears, the drugstores- Longs, CVS. I think Long's has shavers but don't know if they carry Braun. Costco but would prefer not to drive that far. Bed, Bath and Beyond.

I am sorry that I do not recall how much S's shaver cost. It has lasted more than 2 years, and he plans to take it to Europe next month for a term abroad.

BB&B may work.

Target?

Are you driving S to school? Will there be more options there?

My H just bought a Philips Norelco 7180XL from Amazon for about $70. It came yesterday and he loves it. You can have it shipped to his college address.

I bought the Norelco for TallSon to keep him from stealing my Braun. The Norelco is gathering dust and I bought him a Braun for his birthday. Just get the Braun first and give up trying for something cheaper. I believe the cheapest Braun is under $100.

Got H a Norelco a few years ago after researching the reviews. The triple heads do a good job for irregular surfaces for him. Even places like Walmart carry them, it can be confusing to choose the model. Go with the above suggested model or a similar numbered one-do not get unneeded features such as shaving gel but perhaps do get one that can be used wet or dry and shows the battery charge level .

Did a lot of research and I third the recommendation for Norelco. Your S is a college student, a ~50 dollar Norelco should suffice:

Norelco fans -- faces differ, beards differ, and I respect individual choice. Still, you'll have to pry my Braun from my cold, dead fingers.

WashDad- my husband and his Dad are Braun fans.
By the time son finished packing and we went out to dinner the only store still open was the drug store. They had a decent selection of Norelco and Braun. My son is thrifty. After seeing the prices of the electric razors he decided he really didn't need one. (funny since we were paying and would have bought him one) My husband has always used electric so can't imagine using a hand razor but that is what my son has been doing. So I guess he will continue to do so. Dear son really does not have much facial hair to deal with yet.
I am going to pass the electric razor idea along to Grandpa as a gift idea for son's birthday. My husband has never bought his own electric razor. My FIL for some strange reason loves to buy nice electric razors as gifts.
These are the times I wish we had a walmart or target in the area. It is a 45 minute drive each way. Makes for these usually no brainer type of purchases difficult.
