Yes, Youdon'tsay, stay!
It's all margarita mix
and haircolor here.

Those of you who don't
understand this reference,
just ask CountingDown.

It is the mantra
we parents of the college
class of thirteen chant.

Clemson yesterday
Ninety-five degrees for our
Two hour walking tour

Yet daughter loved it
Even without students there
School reeks of "happy!"

In the living room
he sits at the computer,
his feet down the hall --

unavoidable
tripping trap for those who dare
walk without looking.

Stumbling, I wonder --
where'd he get those long, lean legs?
Clearly not from me!

Good looks, brains, and hair
must have come from his father.
(I still have all mine! )

I wouldn't have guessed
a teen-age boy could be such
a riot to raise.

Note that it is sons
who move moms to write haiku.
Moms of daughters shop.

Good observation.
Six-pack of Hanes white T-shirts
lasts a whole 12 months.

D and I spent hours
together trawling Target
and BB & B.

S says thanks mom, but
I already have sheets, and
this towel should do.

I can't imagine
what it would be like with girls --
shopping as bonding.

geek_son hates shopping,
but can be lured into the mall
with promise of food.

Minimalist son
asks why he would ever need
more than one towel,

and then he forgets
that one piece of terry cloth
when he packs his things.

who Monday touched me dearly?
Today, not so much.
