I just can't believe
In June my son graduates
I am scared as hell

I wish I could have
A do-over with that boy
I'd do things diff'rent

New dress shoes for school.
One is in the dorm room but
the other is where?

She says in Texas -
I think back in Ohio -
Maybe in-between.

It's the little things:
Emptier laundry baskets,
Fewer milk cartons.

The big picture's great.
They're where I want them to be.
I just miss them lots.

Unpacked everything
Three hours, never thought it'd fit
Dropped hammer on foot

Our backs recover
Our wallets feel feather-like
We say, job well done

Fledgelings leave the nest
New adventures await them
Parents reminisce

October is here.
My two college kids need me!
"Send my old costume?"

Admissions frenzy
IRL and on CC
Seems so distant now.

I almost miss it.
Then I look at my third kid -
just ten years to go!
