I just received an invitation to a baby shower brunch on a Saturday for my cousin. The invitation is for 2:00 p.m.; isn't that lunch? I know we are play semantics here, but my mother is really bothered by the young woman planning the shower. I wondered if maybe the invitation had a typo and it was meant to be at 12:00, or maybe the woman had planned a brunch and for some reason changed to lunch and forgot to reword the invitation.
So can one have brunch at 2:00? Is brunch what you serve, what time you serve, or both?
