I know of a HS administrator, an outstanding individual, who was accused of changing a kid's grade because it was done from his computer. (The kid was no relation.) He denied it, but was forced out anyway and "personal reasons" cited as the reason for departure. The change was literally one point, and made the difference between failing and passing.

I would be willing to bet that someone else did it on his computer, just like this woman made changes using other people's computers. Those other people are lucky that she was found out: they could easily have been accused and fired.

I have to say that the few times I have shared my password at work, I've changed it shortly afterwards...

Back in the day, I had lower grade when I knew I'd made straight 100's. After checking with friends it seems no one in the class got a higher grade than his daughter. When I asked him about it, he lowered my grade another 5 points for attitude. That was when children didn't question authority figures.

^^If all you had was a 1370, a 1730 would look pretty good.

Back in the prehistoric era (before computers!) the top 4 students in my graduating class were girls. I was #4. Two boys came next and they were both applying to competitive schools.

Suddenly, the two boys recieved a higher grade for physics and moved into spots 3 and 4.

Dad for one of the boys was an administrator.

Here's how this turn of events was explained to me: these boys were applying for scholarships at prestigious schools and I was already set on my school and not seeking scholarships. And it didnt affect Val and Sal. And that since the administrator was involved, it wouldnt do to rock the boat. And sexism was alive and well in the seventies.

Oh yea, I had taken physics, too.

I am disgusted by that Eggmom. Ever gone to a reunion and see how those bozo's turned out? Karma is a funny thing in this world. I've seen it come to fruition time and time again. What you put out in the world will surely come back to you ten fold.

I really hate a cheat.

>>Ever gone to a reunion and see how those bozo's turned out?<<

I agree that the cheating was disgusting, but without further facts I'd be hesitant lay the body at the feet of the boys themselves. The scam may have been engineered by the adults without the boys themselves asking for it or even knowing about it. Perhaps eggmom can tell us whether the boys were in on the fix.
