Odd Things the Kid Brought Home from College

What odd thing showed up when he or she was unpacking? At my house it was a half used container of plaster patch, used to remedy a hole in the wall in his room that somebody else put there.

Son came home with a bassoon stand. And he's a violist.

D came home with a retired racing greyhound.

As long as it wasn't some male, I wasn't particular about what D brought home.

A racing greyhound...that's got to be one of the more unusual souvenirs.

Not odd, she left with one! Mom is still dumber than dirt. But we are still happy she is here.

A miniature dachshund puppy named "Kahlua" -- what a shock that D named the puppy after an alcoholic liqueur. Ah, college life . . . The puppy is now hard at work terrorizing our cat.

The desire to jet-set around the world to visit her college friends! I told her be my guest as long as she wins the lotto to afford it.

There's a table in our garage that wasn't there before ... and it's covered in fake grass, like field turf. We don't know how it got there ... but guessing it might have arrived with college items.

GAM, half the time D's friends are jet-setting to see her, so the expense is only half of what it could have been. Fortunately, it's all on her nickel now. Of course, she's saving up her nickels to go to a reunion of her "abroad" program next summer. And I can't complain...she just paid $3K of her own money to take a class that's a pre-req for grad school that she wanted in the books before she applied. May have to take one more course as well.

Very Happy: LOL!!!

First base from the baseball field about 6 years ago. For some reason we still have it in the basement.

What he didn't come home with-the stop sign that some how just found its way into our home during high school. It seems some theft stole it from son's apartment!!
