I watched the first ten minutes of the pilot when it first aired, and it didn't hook me. I found it a bit... camp. But thanks to this thread, I just watched all the episodes online, and I am so glad I did. Thanks for recommending it! It really is touching and funny and different.

Great suggestion, Lergnom!

I have to admit that Josh Groban last week got a shriek of delight from me. I loved his interaction with the "blousy alcoholic." (spoiler, so name is in invisible color)

Add me to the list of people who cried when Kurt came out.

Hot? Um, that would be Mr. Shuester, the Glee club teacher
YES.

All of my best friends (myself included) were in choir (not showchoir, though, as we didn't have one) in high school. This show is only a slightly exaggerated version of what goes on "behind the scenes" of the polished, well-behaved singers that get up on that stage. But the relationships are all extremely accurate--the support of Kurt when Mercedes realizes that he is gay, being able--in Tina's case--to put someone else's talent above your own pride, and as in Rachel's case, realizing that someone else's confidence/success can be more important than said pride.

I was fortunate enough to get to attend the taping of Glee over the summer with one of my best friends. We may be in the last episode of the season!

gLee gives all of us a chance to relive our choir days, and we all adore the show as a result.

We were SCREAMING laughing through the football scene this week!

Also...love Jane Lynch (sp?) as Sue Sylvester. She is so vicious! I love when shows give people a chance to be MEAN.

We also got to meet the cast when we went to the taping, and all of the young men and women working on the show are absolutely incredible. They all truly love what they are doing and want the show to succeed--not as career boosters, but because they have so much fun doing it. Especially Lea Michele...she said something about the fact that if it came down to gLee or Broadway, she'd choose gLee.

Although, my favorite exchange was when someone asked the boy who plays Finn (I can't remember his name, as it's 12:40 AM and I should be sleeping) when he started singing. He took a big long pause, then said: "When did I get this job?"

In case you can't tell, I can't say enough positive things about the show and the cast.

Um, I wrote the "...that would be Mr.Shuester" comment quoted above and I am most definitely not "younger".

And yes, HGFM, very cool! You'll have to tell us if and when you are on the show!

We won't know until the episode airs. But if my friend and I are in it, it will be the last episode of the season. We'll just be in an audience shot, so nothing too exciting.

My D and I also love Glee. We saw the pilot episode last spring and were eager for the regular season to begin. And we have not been disappointed! Like others said above, she also thinks the boy who plays Finn is very attractive. Guess I'd have to agree.

My MT DD and I also love Glee and watch it together each week. The characters on the show are great and of course we love the songs!

Jane Lynch plays the best character of them all.

OK, so what's everyone's guess on how Shuester's wife is going to get out of the fake pregnancy predicament (and wasn't that scene when she told her sister she was prego. hilarious?) ?

She'll scheme to surreptitiously adopt the Chastity Club girl's baby, but Schuester will find out. They'll divorce, and the wife will end up with the cougar-chasing football player, who is ironically the child's real father.

^^^^ Great scenario!

I can't believe that the Cherrio will actually be pregnant or stay pregnant. I'm wondering if she is also making up her story. Just seems awkward that she would continue in her role, so early in the series/season with a belly growing.

I agree she is going to try to scheme to get the girls baby. However, how does she plan on not having sex with her husband for 9 months. Here's my wrinkle, in a few episodes she'll find out she is pregnant, so now she has a very late due date. Or she gets the baby, the girl changes her mind takes it back they split, he hooks up with the other teacher and she than announces she is pregnant for real (season cliff hanger)

My son is on the football team at our school and we he saw them do that dance, he said maybe we should do that so we can win (they are 0-3). We busted out laughing, and said okay DS take that to your coach...better yet let's see you do it...OH NOW WAY was his response, I would rather keep losing than do that!

Another Glee fan here! D and I watch "together" - but she is 200 miles away so we use the chat feature on FB to comment back and forth to one another. We love Matt Morrison, who plays Mr. Shuester (sp??). He has been in several Broadway shows - Hairspray, Light in the Piazza, and most recently, South Pacific. D has seen him in several, but my only encounter with him was the day D and I were at the WICKED lottery a few years ago and he was also there trying to win tickets. He did.........we didn't. But, got a really nice photo of him and D together. He was very surprised she recognized him and was very flattered when asked to pose for a photo. Made a great impression on me that day, so I am thrilled that this new endeavor is working out so well for him. What a classy guy he is!
