EK, these are great links. My DIL is a busty size 6 and has told me how hard it is to find clothes that fit properly. After much effort, she had identified a few places in the UK and Scotland, but is now starting from scratch here in the US. Don't know if she would appreciate me sending her links unsolicited, but they are good to have if she ever mentions the topic!

My D has been corresponding with the man that runs Bra database | Bratabase, but I don't know if she knows he's a guy.
He is apparently very helpful however.

My sympathies to all who have to deal with the clothes for skinny girl/big girls problem. I'm so happy that I don't have to deal with this anymore, but I'm just plain lucky that my exercise and diet took care of it.
Am I nuts to even think about this top (I'm hoping for it to go on sale soon)? I saw it IRL at the store and the beading is really unique, does not look trashy one bit. Ladies, your opinions, please? Diane von Furstenberg 'Anastasia' Embellished Silk Blouse | Nordstrom |

Went shopping at Nordstrom last week and bought a pair of Liverpool skinny jeans ($79)--a nice green color. I wore them over the weekend and wanted to share that they fit great and are super comfortable--a nice blend of cotton and spandex. Don't seem to get baggy at the knees, as have some I've tried. Might be worth a try for those venturing into this look.

Heh, I always had the opposite problem - flat as a pancake. Nursing for years did help that problem, still not big on top, but I can find bras now.

This thought stems from a conversation with lady friends over the weekend....Do you have a favorite item, a staple, in your wardrobe that you'd be lost without?
I have a pair of black patent tuxedo flats with a tailored grosgrain bow that I've worn for several years and still get lots of favorable comments about them. (Think smoking slippers before I knew they were called that!) I dread the day when they will have to be pitched! I find myself taking care of them like nothing else in my wardrobe. I've worn them with a variety of outfits, even occasionally with jeans. I'm tall and have big feet, so they work well for me.
What's your favorite, I'd-be-lost-without-it wardrobe staple?

Deb, thanks! I have it bookmarked, so fingers crossed, size 2 will still be there when it goes on sale (no, i'm not size 2 - DvF things run huge).
Hmmm... A wardrobe staple? Possibly, my favorite Burberry trench. I always grab it out of the closet when I need a coat. I will be very unhappy if it disappears.

My wardrobe staple would be my camisoles, tights and leggings from Tees by Tina. I wear them all seasons, at least several times per week. My DD steals them from me.
And this thread helped me recognize that Dansko clogs are sort of my signature.
In all truth, I rarely wear jeans anymore. I just don't like the feel of denim that much.
Bunsen, it's a great top but not one I'd wear. As with the tall boot thing, the combination of turtleneck with sleeveless just doesn't compute me.

Saw several very cute pairs of ankle length heeled boots (called "booties") while shopping today. Can't get them out of my mind, so I think I will buy a pair. Does anyone know - can I wear them with tights and a sweater dress?? Or just with pants?

Like idea of the top but what about bra straps?
FYI loft has great womens pants cords and denim in shapes for women. I wear the curvy straight....
