Portland has been more flexible with their district than Seattle- they seem much more responsive to the community.

I just found it funny cause while my younger daughter was involved with hip hop dance when she was attending high school in the " inner city", Portland by contrast is the whitest city in the US.

I expect it will be very popular.

Super. That's what's keeping black students from performing up to their peers from other ethnic groups...not enough hip-hop. And how else would kids learn hip-hop dancing and singing if it wasn't taught to them in the schools? I look forward to Harvard starting a Ph.D. program in the use of the word "mother******." how come we don't have something like this in Seattle?
LL Cool J, Blue Scholars,Common Market et al. are from here and I am sure there are lots that I don't know about.
( ok that is rhetorical- cause Seattle doesn't have charter schools and we do our best to shut down any new ideas)
