Helenback, it sounds delicious. Just a sliver for me, though! Thanks.

Well, IRL I succeeded in giving away the caramel chocolate apple, but I will indeed have some of Mafool's cheese.

By all means, Consolation! Help yourself!

While we are sampling cheese, here's a treat:

I have some fig preserves, which is terrific served with a good Stilton (sounds odd, I know). Shall I break that out, too?

Well, if nobody else is going to eat Owlice's chocolate cake with mocha icing, then I'll eat that. (Yes, the whole cake), and I have some of my homemade vanilla bean icecream because today was in the high 50's and I couldn't resist making it.

:: eats flan and yellow cake with chocolate frosting and homemade vanilla bean ice cream ::

I'll be back later for cheese and fig preserves and crackers and wine, you can bet on it!

A good cheese plate IS dessert. The savory course.

I think there are a few cookies left over from last night: layer of sugar cookie dough topped by layer of choc choc chip cookie dough topped by layer of peanut butter cookie dough topped by choc chip cookie dough. The remains got hidden in the garage freezer, otherwise they'd have been eaten for breakfast. Let me know, and I can go dig them out.

Son just left after family birthday celebration. He asked for this key lime pie, and now there's 3/4 of it sitting here! It's especially good - and made in a springform pan so you don't lose half the crumb crust digging it out of a pie plate. Help yourselves, it's on the top shelf in the fridge. If you get a slice with a birthday candle please keep it to yourself that we have a child who is this old!
