| The weirdest thing in your home office
On another thread, we're talking about the cluttered state of our homes/offices, thanks in part to the college app process. What is the most bizarre thing currently cluttering up your home workspace?
For me, it's the life-size cutout of Mr. Spock, but I blame dh, not the college app process.

I share my office with S2's ever-growing Lego collection, which takes up a lot of real estate, but probably the oddest things in the room belong to me, not him: my wind-up walking sushis.

I often wonder if my washer and dryer are located in the home office or if my home office is located in the laundry room.

The box of old, fancy silverware (my grandmother's?) that my mother insisted on giving me, but that I don' t have any use for and wasn't able to palm off on my son for his college apartment.
Also, a glow-in-the-dark volleyball from my son's post-prom all night party four years ago.

A plumeria tree. We keep it in the office because the cats like to dig the dirt out of the pot. I might have to move my coffee plant in there as well.
A 2-foot tall papier-mache monster that D made for dad to decorate his office at work. Dad decided to keep it at home.

A small, framed drawing of what I can only describe as a very cute alien baby in a stripped snowsuit.
To support the art students on campus, I would always buy at least one item, usually a mug or print to give as a gift. But I was very stressed about finals and this little picture made me laugh, so I bought it. I aced all my exams and he became my lucky charm.
Did I mention the small frame he came in is bright pink? It really does stand out but I love it.

I have a robot made out of paper, 3 demonsional 2 feet tall, that my Odyssey of the Mind team gave me as a thank you for coaching them. It sits on top of the filing and reminds me to creatively solve the problems by having fun.
I also have some old Beanie Babies including the Princess Diana Rememberance Bear and Yr 2000 Bear, sitting on the window sill.

I am working in a temporary location, which is another businesses conference room and I am literally surrounded by Disneymania- posters, lithos, cells, hats, ties, a top of the wall shelf of 2 ft tall dwarves & others, 4 ft Mickey & apprentice broom, 3 ft tall beauty & beast, etc.
With 20+ figures around the top of three of the walls I am being watched by all these eyes |
