Anyone been watching/buying from the "wootoffs"??? Maybe this is something they do often, but I'm been watching the wootoffs on my Twitter account and they are selling stuff like mad! A new "bargain" comes up every few minutes it seems - from electronics to toys. I haven't bought anything today cause I am working and you have to catch the woot pretty early to get in on it.
Woot is fun!

Is that the same as sellout.woot? How do you access the wootoffs? I've bought from wine.woot, but never from woot itself. Almost bought on 2fer Tuesday, but kids said they didnt need any more sleeping bags.

A woot off is a periodic sale, usually monthly, where the deal of the day becomes lots of deals, some selling out faster than others, and lasting 24-36 hours. If you go to the woot site, you'll see the flashing lights, which signifies the woot off. The ultimate "get" is the elusive "bag of crap," which is a very limited mystery grab bag; there usually is one per woot off, and the servers crash when it is offered. My family got one "BOC" last year, and it was just that, but rumor has it that they have included pricey products now and again. You can google "woot off trackers" that will alert you to the stock remaining of the product offered and show the next deal. I know way too much about this, and have spent way too much money at woot offs!

I just joined Woot yesterday (although have been watching the site now for months, waiting for a Roomba in the pet hair series to go on sale...). Now I am ready to buy when it does! Bought the emergency radio yesterday, have been wanting one to add to my emergency kit for a while now.

P.S. Kids woot opened up about a month ago. I just found out that it's having a separate woot off. I'm going to be the best aunt ever!

Thanks for the reminder. I used to cruise by every week or so just to see the fantasticly horrible photo-shop contests (scroll down on the right side of the website...)

I've got some cool Christmas presents early thanks to woot! The most you can buy from one account is three so if there is a woot off and I like the item, I'll just buy three and then figure out who to give them to. My College son likes the screaming flying monkeys for his dog. From this woot off I got him and his roommates the downtown shoot out game - Woot : Downtown Shoot Out Game He's getting used to receiving surprise weird packages from me. My younger son's t-shirt collection is mainly woot shirts now. Good quality, well priced and unique.
I got a bag of crap earlier this year and it had some fun stuff including three movies that the kids liked. 'Tis fun!

Earlier this year I bought an 8mg card for my camera for $2 (plus their standard $5 shipping) in a woot-off. Very happy. I know several who have purchased refurbished items and been very happy with them.
