As I've explained many times to my family and friends, I'm NOT addicted to CC. I'm only reading this for a friend and I can quit anytime I want to.

Really.

you quickly switch to another screen when someone comes in your office - mine is at home, so it's usually H or DS. Kinda like hiding a vodka bottle...lol.

you starting using terms like H or DS when communicating in emails...or even in conversation...lol!

You find out that a friend posts on CC and, instead of asking his or her screen name, you try to figure it out

You could recite from memory which schools more than 20 regular posters (or their kids) attend or are applying to.

"When you go to a college visit and talk about CC, and someone else comes up and shouts their screenname at you. You have an instant understanding of one another." -Applicannot.

8D!

This actually happened to US in particular.

"YOU'RE APPLICANNOT???"

"YOU'RE YURTLE???"

No kidding. The Parent Cafe is now my "life coach."

You fondly remember the meta thread and realize that non-CC friends just wouldn't get it.

You worry that your kids will find out about it and be horrified.

Yes, that!

When you can recite some of the CC commandments, like "Love thy safety" and "It's all about the fit."
