| How Did You Pick Your Screen Name?
Started from a comment by bookiemom on the thread about addiction to CC. My story is a little boring, but "intparent" is short for "interested parent". All I could think of when making my first posting after lurking for a while (on a thread for D1's "dream school", where she was of course later rejected and where she now realizes she would not be particularly happy).
What is the source of your screen name?

I wanted to do an expression. I decided upon warts and all, in that we all have to accept certain components of life, both good and bad.

I love EXTREMELY cheesy dialogue from TV shows that my friends think are profound.

When I first started posting, I rather stupidly used my REAL first name. And it's a fairly uncommon name and my D was persuing a fairly uncommon major and I was posting on a specific thread for that major. Then I recommended CC and that thread to someone else (a friend of my sister) whose D was also interested in that major, and she started posting, using a screen name that included her real name and location. I did not want her to be reading all my posts and knowing what I said. So I had to email the CC gods, explain the situation, and quickly get a new identity!

CC is a little east coast-centric; I wanted to represent the West Coast crowd.

Part of my heritage is Romani Gypsy and my grandpa used to call me "gyspy eyes" ... therefore RomaniGypsyEyes.

I'm a little embarrassed by my screen name. So I'm a dad from GA. How creative of me. I check out posters like "ellemenope" (LMNOP) and think "I'm not worthy!"

It's a version of my late Grandmother's name. Edith Odessa. And I wanted it to be Edie - but spelled it Eddie (like a man's name). Oh, well.

I can't answer this question in order to protect the not-so-innocent.
I also am on a second name, having used not just my first name, but my current CITY in my original name. I didn't realize this forum was going to be a multi-year, daily pursuit!

My screen name was also the name of a beloved childhood pet.

Geez, I sure wish I had started with another name. I wanted a real word that I could type quickly. I kept coming up with "already used" names. I even hate to eat this legume!

When I was registering I had to get the dog to leave me alone. Zoey. It doesn't get more unoriginal that that.
