| buzzword bingo
In another thread {goaliedad wrote One suggestion to make all of the admissions sessions fun (one I only wish I had thought of during our campus tours (now completed). Buzzword bingo.
Everyone here knows that 95% of all admissions presentations go over the same things. In order to keep you and your child listening (especially after a couple days of these) draw up lists of favorite buzzwords admissions people use in these sessions (I'm sure lots of people here can give you plenty of suggestions, if you don't know them all by now). You listen to the presentation, checking off the words as they use them. When your last one is checked off, ask a question using the work "bingo" to win. For those of you too polite to interrupt, I guess you could nudge the other one and write bingo on your sheet}
So...let's get started. Suggestions for buzzwords?
Mine is "rigorous".

some good ones. I love the idea that if you win you have to ask a question using the word bingo. Seems so much more creative than just nudging the person next to you and writing "bingo" down.
But I can't for the life of me come up with a question that would make sense and use the word bingo...
I guess you could ask "Is there a bingo hall nearby" but you would look pretty stupid.
Any other suggestions for question with the word bingo in it?

You could talk about how impressed you were with the school using all of the words(in a question(perhaps rhetorical)) and then say bingo at the end of it. Bingo as in it's the right school for you, but also in that you won the game!

But here's one. "At what point in the college search can you really know , bingo, this school is the right one for me?"

Another buzzword - community (as in we are a close knit community, or our students are involved or engaged in doing volunteer work within the surrounding community).
