while schools in the U.S. waste time on silly things, many third world nations are rapidly building their futures becoming the next world leaders focusing on making sure their students learn real world stuff to compete and over take america.

Wonder whether the university sent in a request to have the article edit its original sexist wording and change it to an inclusive, "A spokesperchild for UNC declined ..."

Oh my gosh, that is the dumbest story I have read in a while! We all know that when you use the word "man" in terms like that you mean women and men!

That's like how some people want to change the words Black Hole in space, because it is racist xD

You mean "wo" (you wouldn't want to have the 'men' in that word).

it is very sad, that on part of the campus cutting edge research in all the STEM's is taking place and then over in the basket weaving section at the same school this silly stuff happens, and the basket weavers seem to have a grip on policy as silly as it is at many colleges. it could be argued that those in the other productive parts of the school can not be bothered or have time to say stop the crazy stuff. but whatever the reason, the school as a whole should be embarrassed !
