High School Foreign/Intercultural Exchange Programs

I would like to hear from parents about their students' experiences with various Foreign/intercultural exchange programs, particularly in France. Which program did your chld participate in, how would you rate the program, how fluent was your child when they returned, and how did you handle the student taking AP and SAT II tests. My child is traveling to the American School in Paris to take his AP French test. The AP test site list for France is woefully out of date, with many wrong phone numbers, and listings of schools that don't offer the test. Also, have any of your students had to take the Accuplacer Reading Comprehension and Sentence Skills Test and/or the Compass Math Test as a requirement for enrolling in high school concurrent enrollment classes when they return, and if so, did your student able to take the test overseas, with a proctor administering the test long distance? Some colleges administer these two assessments long distance, but I don't know which ones they are? Thanks for any feedback and assistance you can give me.
