| Congrats on the early admissions! Tongshen1226 for Carnegie do you have to select those colleges ahead of time? When do they typically let you know by? Is it rolling? |

| congratulations to al your kids! I just found out that two of the schools (at least) on my D's short list do the online priority ap. It's exciting to think that in less than a year they could know if they were accepted somewhere and thereby eleviate application stress. |

| tongchen! Wow! That's great. Is CMU your first choice? I live about an hour away and the kids go there for fencing tournaments several times a year (including an upcoming one in Nov.). Have you toured the campus? Some of it is not beautiful - some of it is really fantastic.
Congratulations! |

| Tongchen,
Is there a special program that you applied through? I thought CMU sent out acceptances all at the same time (ED and then RD). |

| I got into Ohio Northern University! I will not find out about merit aid for a while, but I hope I will be invited to one of the scholarship days. |

| University of Pittsburgh as of last Wednesday! It wasn't really a big surprise as it was one of my safeties, but it feels so good to know that, regardless of what happens with my other applications, I'm going to college next year. Congrats to fencersmother (or rather, your kids), Tongchen, and casehopeful! |

| S got into Rose-Hulman last week. Huh?, you may ask. A Rose what? One of those great yet-to-discovered schools -- even though USNWR seems to have discovered it eons ago. Engineering school of about 1800 which has tied Harvey Mudd in USNWR stats for years as No. 1 engineering school without grad degree.
Now I deliver this to all parents with D's who are inclined to be technologically motivated: have your D apply to R-H as it truly needs more representation of the fairer sex. Please. |

| My daughter has been accepted at Queens University of Charlotte with merit money. She absolutely loved getting a phone call from her admissions rep. What a great small school. |

| Congratulations to all of the recent acceptances! This is so exciting! My S applied to five schools, four of which are rolling admissions. He has had two acceptances so far and we're waiting on pins and needles for the rest. The 5th one doesn't make decisions until late Feb or early March, which seems like a long ways away right now, but I'm sure the time will fly by. |

| U of Arizona--- Full Ride! I really really really don't want to go there (for me, it would be high school part 2) but it's still nice knowing I'm in somewhere |

| My friend got into Missouri! I'm so happy for her, since it was both her safety and her number 1 (journalism school). Now she's applying for the Honors College, and lucky for her it's rolling too, so she should find out within a few weeks and then it's CINCHED for her.

| Salpert - that is wonderful news! Not only do you have an admission already, but a full ride! Congratulations for your hard work.
Tako - my son got into the J-school too, and just applied to the Mizzou Honors College yesterday, and I wondered how long before they give an answer. Thanks for your post. |
