Oh, adn one more acceptance - Univeristy of Vermont! It probably won't make the cut, but right now my D is reveling in the feeling of being "wanted."

My dd has gotten acceptance letters from all of her back up schools. Mercer, U. of Tampa and Univ of South Florida. Each offered merit scholarships that really made her smile, but she's still waiting for her number one choice of FSU (2 weeks and counting).
Good job to everyone on getting in those apps in a timely manner!
Congrats to everyone on your acceptance letters!

Congrats & Happy Thanksgiving to all!

D received full tuition merit at a safety (her first/only acceptance) yesterday. I was thrilled/relieved (it's a top 100 U) until we discovered the 12/5 award acceptance deadline. We haven't even had a chance to visit yet!

Does anyone know whether this is normal? Do merit offers generally have earlier deadlines than May 1?

SuperMom, I think that is a fairly common practice. They want to pin down those highly desirable students. Congratulations to her for receiving their love, even if it's not her first pick.

Lots of great acceptances here to be thankful for on this T-Day!
