A nice picture frame with a photo of the group, and maybe, a grad bear people can sign?

Great ideas! Address book with their friends' addresses (from a school directory?) and phone numbers...reproducing this when they lose their cell phones is always tough... A person I work with has a daughter that gave plants to her friends for their dorm rooms, as part of a $10 "going to college" gift exchange. Key chains with one of those inexpensive mini-flash-lights. Medical kit with a few band-aids, aspirin, etc. I love the photo and frame idea. If there's a great group photo, you can have a copy enlarged to 5 X 7 for them.

Pocket knife. It's not $10 but maybe there's a knockoff: I love my Leatherman Micra. I gave them to my kids a few years back and they're still on their keychains.

You can find very inexpensive "Initial" notepads or stationery/notecards at various stationery/gift store type places.

A friend of my daughters printed a calendar off the computer and put everyones birthday and e-mail address on it. They keep in touch with old friends as they make new ones. Sometimes a birthday wish from old friends comes at the perfect time.

Your local dollar shop may have some nice items for very little. That and a $5 Dunkin' Donuts card, or movie ticket can make nice gifts. I went to a gathering where someone bought one of those metal photo trees. Instead of photos, she clipped gift cards onto each of the wire clips. Each recipient was allowed to choose from the tree. She said she sometime does put photos on the tree and people can pick the ones that feature them.
