Packing and shipping stuff home

Just wanted to give my fellow parents on CC a head's up
NOT to use the Madpackers shipping service.

We had a disastrous experience with them at the end of last year -
S shipped home two large packages. One package made it.
The other did not.

It took three weeks of calling managers in several different offices
to locate the package (a musical instrument in a large, hard case.)
When it was returned, the instrument was damaged.

We had to rent a replacement for the time it was lost AND for the time it took to get repaired. Madpackers did not reimburse us for the rental or the repairs
even though they promised to do so over the phone.

I submitted all receipts several times over a 4 month period and never got a response. Filed Better Business Bureau Claims in Florida where the company headquarters for the the parent company is located - to no avail.

Stick to UPS, FedEx, or other known quantity but avoid Madpackers.
